Itinerary
Day 1: Nairobi → Samburu
- Morning drive north via Mount Kenya (320 km, 5–6 hrs).
- Lunch & relaxation at your lodge.
- Afternoon game drive – elephants, lions, leopards, crocodiles & plains game.
- Dinner & overnight at your lodge/camp.
Day 2: Samburu – Full Day Safari
- Morning & afternoon game drives across Samburu’s arid plains.
- Spot the Samburu Special Five – reticulated giraffe, Grevy’s zebra, Beisa oryx, gerenuk & Somali ostrich.
- Herds of elephants & predators along the Ewaso Nyiro River.
- Dinner & overnight at your lodge/camp.
Day 3: Samburu → Aberdares
- Drive to Aberdares National Park (220 km, 4–5 hrs).
- Lunch at the base hotel.
- Evening transfer to The Ark Lodge with game drive en route.
- Nighttime game viewing at the lodge’s waterhole & salt lick – elephants, buffaloes, leopards & forest hogs.
- Dinner & overnight at The Ark.
Day 4: Aberdares → Lake Nakuru
- Morning drive via Nyahururu Falls into the Rift Valley (180 km, 3–4 hrs).
- Lunch at lodge.
- Afternoon game drive – rhinos, Rothschild’s giraffes, flamingos & other birdlife.
- Visit the “Out of Africa” viewpoint.
- Dinner & overnight at your lodge/camp.
Day 5: Lake Nakuru → Masai Mara
- Morning drive across the Rift Valley to the Masai Mara (300 km, 6 hrs).
- Lunch on arrival.
- Afternoon game drive across Mara plains – lions, elephants, cheetahs & more.
- Dinner & overnight at your lodge/camp.
Day 6: Masai Mara – Full Day Safari
- Full day game drives with picnic lunch across Mara plains
- Witness the Great Wildebeest Migration (July–Oct).
