Day 1: Nairobi - Masai Mara (5.5-hours drive)

Leaving Nairobi after breakfast, approx. 07:30, you travel towards rift valley escarpment before reaching the Masai Mara in time for lunch at basecamp explorer. After lunch set off on your first game drive returning to the camp as the sun for dinner and overnight stay
The Maasai Mara offers wildlife in such variety and abundance that it is difficult to comprehend – indeed, over 450 species of animals have been recorded here! You will easily spot lions, rhinos, hippos, crocodiles, giraffe, wildebeests, zebras, buffalo, warthogs, hyenas, jackals, wild dogs, buffalo, leopard, many kinds of antelopes and elephants.
It is in the Mara that perhaps the most spectacular event of the natural world takes place: the annual migration of millions of wildebeest and zebra from the Serengeti (Tanzania) in search of water and pasture. Following on their heels are the predators of the savanna – lion, cheetah, wild dog, jackal, hyena, and vultures.

Day 2: Masai Mara

Full day in the Maasai Mara with morning and afternoon game drives. You can also decide to take an optional hot air balloon ride (US$450 per person); you will also have the option of visiting a local Maasai village (US$30 per person). All meals and overnight stay at your camp.

Day 3: Masai Mara - Nakuru (6-hours Drive)

Rise early for a breakfast and check out with a game drive enroute and depart for Lake Nakuru National park arriving in time for lunch at Lake Nakuru Lodge followed by an afternoon game viewing and later dinner and overnight at the lodge

Lake Nakuru is a shallow alkaline lake in the Rift Valley renowned for its spectacular flamingo population. The lake is famed as one of the world’s greatest ornithological spectacles. Lake Nakuru National Park is home to zebras, gazelles, Rothschild giraffe, impala, black and white rhino sanctuary and other large mammals.

Day 4: Nakuru - Nairobi via Naivasha (4-hour drive)

Following an early breakfast, continue to Lake Naivasha for a boat ride where you can spot hippos as well as a variety of birds common to this area. Visit Crescent Island which is about 15 minutes by boat away from the shores of Lake Naivasha and is one of the few places where you can enjoy a nature walk alongside wild animals. Leaving the Rift Valley behind, proceed to Nairobi, arriving in the afternoon. Once in the city, you will be dropped off at a city hotel or airport for ongoing travel arrangements at approximately 12:00.
