Overview

Sentrim Tsavo East is located within Tsavo East National Park close to a waterhole where game such as elephants, buffaloes, and more frequent. The camp has the feel of the pioneering camps of the previous centuries whilst still comprising modern amenities.

Accommodation

There are a total of 25 tents at Sentrim Tsavo East. 20 of the tents are standard tents while 5 are deluxe tents. All the tents have a bathroom en-suite as well as hot showers, mosquito nets, and coffee/tea making facilities. Each tent comes with a double bed and a single bed.

Dining and Other Amenities

Sentrim Tsavo East has one main restaurant that serves meals either buffet style or through their a la carte menu. Meals are served between 6:00 AM to 9:00 AM for breakfast, 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM for lunch, and 7:30 PM to 9:00 PM for dinner.

Itinerary – 3 DAYS TSAVO SAFARI

This 3 Days/2 Nights safari offers the best of Kenya’s two premier parks. Enjoy your own private safari tour to Tsavo West & Tsavo East National parks departing daily from Nairobi to view wildlife & explore the awesome scenery. A variety of birdlife and animals can be seen including leopard, wild dogs, buffalo, rhino, elephant, giraffe, zebra, lion, crocodile, mongoose, hyrax, dik-dik, nocturnal porcupine & many more.

Day 1: Nairobi – Tsavo

Pick up from Nairobi and our drive takes us to Tsavo National Park. The Park is a vast expansion of African savanna with a more diverse array of habitats which include open plains, semi-desert scrub, woodland, Chyulu Hills, and rock outcrops. It’s famous for the Red Elephants, Oryx, and Gerenuk among other mammal species and birdlife. Other notable features include Mzima Springs which are water source for Mombasa Town, Shetani Lava Flow, and Ash cones, which is an example of a recent volcanic eruption. The Movie Ghost and the Darkness was shot here. Overnight at your lodge/camp

Day 2: Tsavo

Explore Tsavo National Park Two game drives are scheduled for this day. The extensive diverse habitats offer an ideal area to search for pride in Lions, Buffaloes, Cheetahs, Giraffe, Zebras, Hippos, and wildebeests. Mzima Spring, underground water seepage from Chyulu hills is a good place to watch the Hippos. There is also a wealth and diversity of birds’ species. All meals and overnight at your lodge/camp

Day 3: Tsavo- Nairobi

An early morning ‘Spice’ game drive permits further exploration of this great Park. The Park has a large number of birds estimated to be over 500 species. After breakfast depart for Nairobi arriving early afternoon.
