Overview

Mutara Camp sits above the tropical equator, north of the ancient Aberdare Forest and west of the snow-capped Mount Kenya.

It is the only accommodation in the 20000-acre Mutara Conservancy. The camp borders the Ol Pejeta Conservnacy.

Nestled high up on a cliff-top, Mutara Camp offers panoramic views of the raw uninterrupted wilderness.

Accommodation

The Mutara Camp consists of luxury canvas tents that are tailor-made to offer you the most unforgettable camping experience.

It is very easy to forget that you are in a tent due to the world-class interior furnishings and the ensuite bathrooms.

Each tent contains a deluxe king-sized bed and a cozy reading area.

Dining and Other Amenities

The dining room looks out into the waterhole and food is served on its terrace. It offers clear views of the waterhole where herds of elephants stride to quench their thirst.

Activities

Onsite activities at Mutara Camp include day and night game drives, visits to the Sweetwaters Chimpanzee sanctuary and endangered northern white rhinos as well as bush dinners and sundowner experiences.
