Overview

Kilima Safari Camp is a luxury facility under the Mada Hotels brand. The safari camp is located next to Kimana Gate of Amboseli National Park. As expected, Kilima Safari Camp has a splendid vista of Mt. Kilimanjaro as well as an animal water pool which allows for game viewing from the comfort of one’s tent.

Accommodation

There are a total of 72 rooms at Kilima Safari Camp. All accommodation options face Mt. Kilimanjaro. Firstly, there are 52 standard tents for a ‘glamping’ (glamorous camping) experience. 12 lodge rooms offer a different kind of accommodation option and finally, 10 Milima Tents complete the roaster. Milima Tents are VIP tents that represent the most luxurious accommodation option the lodge has to offer.

Dining

The restaurant at Kilima Safari Camp can sit more than 150 guests. Refreshments are usually served before both the morning and evening game drives to complement the full board meal plan offered at the lodge. Special dietary requirements can also be fulfilled upon request. In the middle of the restaurant is an observation tower the treats the eyes to breathtaking views of the surrounding physical features.

Other Amenities and Activities

Kilima Safari Camp has a swimming pool shaped like an African traditional shield when viewed from above. The swimming pool is ideal for cooling down in or lazying the day away in the pool lounge seats. For corporate clients, there are conference facilities to host corporate events. There is also a curio shop.

As for activities, game drives are obviously the main attraction. Other activities include nature walks and Manyatta excursions. Manyattas are the traditional houses of the world-renown Maasai Tribe.

Itinerary – 3 DAYS AMBOSELI SAFARI

Day 1: Nairobi – Amboseli

Early in the morning after breakfast we depart Nairobi and proceed to Amboseli National Park We arrive in time for lunch at lodge or camp followed by afternoon game drive and on a clear day, you will be able to see Mt Kilimanjaro, for dinner and overnight stay at camp/lodge.

Day 2: Amboseli Full Day Game Drive

Morning game drives over the park’s dusty roads, you’re likely to spot wildebeest, giraffes, Gazelles, Impala and zebra attracted to the marshes and swamps fed by the melting snows of Kilimanjaro. You may also spot lions on the fringes of the marshes as well as a great variety of bird-life (some 425 species of bird populate the park). With Kilimanjaro providing a dramatic backdrop, your photographs will be stunning with Elephants, which makes Amboseli popular as there in hundreds.`

Day 3: Amboseli – Nairobi

Early morning game drive and come for breakfast later depart for Nairobi arriving late afternoon drop off at your hotel or airport
