Overview
Kiira Cottage is a five-bedroom rustic cottage located 2.5 km off the famous Moi South Lake Road in Naivasha. The cottage is set within the grasslands of Kedong Ranch and offers a stunning vista that includes L. Naivasha and Mt. Longonot. This scenic view is further enhanced by the fact that the cottage has a full-span glass wall thus enabling one to take in the view from the comfort of the cottage. While the compound of the cottage is secured with an electric fence, the neighboring grassland is home to various wild animals that can be spotted from the cottage grounds.
Accommodation and Other Amenities
As mentioned earlier, Kiira Cottage has five bedrooms four of which are in the main cottage and one is in a separate self-contained tent. Ideally, the cottage sleeps 10 guests, i.e., two on each bedroom. Arrangements for sofa beds can however be made for a limited number of additional guests. The bedrooms feature log beds, warm lighting, and heated showers. There is also a bedroom in the attic.
The living room adopts the same rustic theme as the bedrooms with the highlight of the room being the full-span glass wall. Board games and hammocks within the room are further ways to relax in this splendid countryside cottage.
Seeing that the cottage is a self-catering facility, there is an open-plan kitchen where guests can do their cooking or hire the resident chef instead. Another amazing feature of Kiira Cottage is the firepit/bonfire area which is an ideal setting to while away the evening hours well into the night with friends or family members.
Finally, on the 10-acre compound of Kiira Cottage is a swimming pool which further adds to the appeal of the cottage.
Activities
On-premises activities such as board games, barbecues, swimming, foosball, and sundowners are a great way to relax at the cottage. In addition, Naivasha has plenty of adventurous activities to undertake and the cottage is located within close proximity to most points of interest in the region. Some of the activities include a visit to L. Naivasha, hiking on Mt. Longonot, rock-climbing in Hell’s Gate National Park, and a visit to Olkaria Geothermal Spa among other activities.
Kiira Cottage Rates
Kiira Cottage is usually rented as a whole at KES 40,000 per night inclusive of chef services if required.
