Overview
Elephant Bedroom Camp Samburu is a luxury safari tented camp located within Samburu National Reserve. Specifically, it is set along the Ewaso Nyiro riverbank under the shade of doum palms. The camp is surrounded by the dry plains of Samburu National Reserve with jagged mountains forming the background. Elephant Bedroom Camp Samburu is part of the Atua Enkop Africa brand of luxury camps.
Accommodation
Elephant Bedroom Camp Samburu has 14 tents. The tents are spacious with a rustic theme vibrant African hues to really set the tone for the safari experience. Some of the key comforts each tent offers include a private plunge pool, hot & cold running water, and complimentary herbal shower and bath products.

Dining and Other Amenities
The lounge and dining area emulates the rustic, African decor present in the tents and further adds intimate lighting to create a cozy dining experience. Alfresco dining by the banks of the Ewaso Nyiro River is also catered for. Private meals can also be arranged and set up by the private veranda of one’s tent. Sundowners and picnics further enhance the experiential dining at the lodge. The cuisine is continental and caters to all manner of dietary requirements.

Activities
Doubtless, game drives are the main activity at Elephant Bedroom Camp Samburu. Game drives are led by accredited guides and are done in 4WD open-sided safari Land Cruisers. Guided bushwalks are also popular with the lodge’s guests. Cultural visits and lectures on Samburu culture further add to the catalog of activities at the lodge. Samburu warriors also entertain guests with traditional dances.

Itinerary – 3 DAYS SAMBURU SAFARI
Day 1: Nairobi – Samburu
Pick up from Nairobi, after a short safari debrief, you will drive north of Nairobi passing through the Equator and the majestic Mount Kenya en route to the open savannah of Samburu Game Reserve. Arrive in time for lunch; check-in at your camp/lodge. After lunch, you will have some time to relax before you go for an evening game drive. Come back to the camp/lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 2: Samburu
Today you will spend the full day spent exploring the park. The highlights of the Samburu Game Reserve are the spectacular scenic beauty, rivers, and forests. It is an area where the local people have a rich and colorful heritage. The reserves have numerous permanent springs and a wealth of wildlife which includes leopard, hippo, elephant, lion, reticulated giraffe, Grevy zebra, and crocodile in the Ewaso Nyiro river. Over 365 species of birds have been identified in the reserve.
Day 3: Samburu – Nairobi
After an early breakfast and morning game drive, depart to Nairobi arriving in the afternoon. This is where your safari will end.
